The problem definition can be defined as a detailed and operational description of the difference between the existing situation and the desired situation.
When designing a smart product is very important to analyse why this product is necessary. Is there a latent need? A demand from the market?
If not, the designer / developer should find out what kind of problem he wants to solve and in case of a smart product, what is the advantage of implementing intelligence in the future product?
